What a great change it was when Americans became citizens instead of subjects. Subjects of a government, governed by a king, an unelected entity. It is wonderful to know that Jefferson in his wisdom, with his own hand, changed the wording of the declaration from subjects to citizens.
Let's make sure we keep it that way.
