Read the rest and see what she has to say about liberals and other major groups. We find ourselves in the midst of the latest leftist media attempt to explain to us exactly who and what we conservatives are. You know the drill; racist, homophobic, bitter, gun-slinging, bible-clinging Neanderthals. An effort to define their enemies happens every time the Democratic Party perceives itself to be in trouble. You may recall that when America endorsed the Contract with America by giving Republicans the House majority in 1994, the late ABC anchorman Peter Jennings famously attributed it to a "temper tantrum" by the electorate. Similarly, when their rockstar of a president, Bill Clinton, faced removal from office, his allies in the media dutifully regurgitated the daily talking points emanating from his infamous War Room. Their demonization of mild-mannered men like Ken Starr and Henry Hyde would have been laughable had it not been so scurrilously effective.Yes, liberal media spinners have had their way with manipulating public opinion for quite some time. They have ruined the reputations of conservatives with everything from live-mike verbal slipups to obscure misspelling errors. Democrats can be found with thousands of dollars hidden in their freezers or stuffing sensitive security documents down their pants, but call somebody ‘macacca' and prepare to face the lynch mob.

Treason? What Reporter? What Paper?
From AP on Breitbart
Waiting to hear who is named in this, reporter and media. My bet is on the NY Times who is still leaking facts harmful to our country.A former senior executive at the National Security Agency was charged Thursday with lying and obstruction of justice in an investigation of leaks of classified information to a newspaper.Federal prosecutors said Thomas Drake, 52, served as a source for many articles about the NSA in an unidentified newspaper, including articles that contained classified information.A federal indictment filed in Maryland charges that Drake used a non-government e-mail account to transmit classified and unclassified information. Authorities also charge that Drake lied to federal agents about what he'd done. The indictment does not identify the reporter, the newspaper, or the subject matter of the stories. It says the stories were published between February 2006 and November 2007."Our national security demands that the sort of conduct alleged here—violating the government's trust by illegally retaining and disclosing classified information—be prosecuted and prosecuted vigorously," said the Justice Department's assistant attorney general Lanny Breuer.Drake faces five counts of willfully retaining documents related to national defense. He is also charged with obstruction of justice and four counts of making false statements to the FBI.The most serious charge in the 10-count indictment carries a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison.Prosecutors say Drake exchanged hundreds of e-mails with the reporter, researched stories for the reporter by asking other NSA employees questions and accessing classified documents, and sent the reporter copies of classified and unclassified documents.
You've probably heard about the GE ties to politics from Glenn Beck
But in case you haven't, here is more information from Front Page Magazine.
by Billy HallowellThe Obama administration has come under scrutiny for its ties to several large corporations, including the auto industry giants General Motors and Chrysler, whose bailout it engineered last spring. But one corporate connection has not received similar scrutiny. Since 2008, General Electric has been cozying up to the Obama administration. The relationship is sure to result in financial gain for GE, while likely granting the company greater access and influence. The arrangements set forth are legal, but the potential impact the interconnections may have – and the blatant kickbacks that have been offered – should alarm Americans.

Waxman may have finally figured out their are laws at work here
From Beltway Confidential in the Washington Examiner:
Read more at the Washington Examiner.By: David FreddosoA House Energy and Commerce Committee spokeswoman tells me that Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., has indeed cancelled the April 21 subcommittee hearing in which CEOs were to testify about Obamacare. So far, the only indication of this change appears on the committee's website is on the Republican minority ranking member's site. In fact, the hearing still appears on Waxman's committee calendar for that day.Waxman had called the hearing in reaction to public statements by several companies -- including Verizon, AT&T, and John Deere, among others -- that Obamacare would cost them hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars because it laid a new tax on their retiree health benefit payments.
CBS News Thinks it has us figured out
They also have a chart, go here to see it.by Brian MontopoliThey're white. They're older. And they're angry.CBS News and the New York Times surveyed 1,580 adults, including 881 self-identified Tea Party supporters, to get a snapshot of the Tea Party movement. There is a lot of information to unpack; let's begin with the demographics.Eighteen percent of Americans identify as Tea Party supporters. The vast majority of them -- 89 percent -- are white. Just one percent is black. They tend to skew older: Three in four are 45 years old or older, including 29 percent who are 65 plus. They are also more likely to be men (59 percent) than women (41 percent).More than one in three (36 percent) hails from the South, far more than any other region. Twenty-five percent come from the West, 22 percent from the Midwest, and 18 percent from the northeast. They are better educated than most Americans: 37 percent are college graduates, compared to 25 percent of Americans overall. They also have a higher-than-average household income, with 56 percent making more than $50,000 per year.More than half (54 percent) identify as Republicans, and another 41 percent say they are independents. Just five percent call themselves Democrats, compared to 31 percent of adults nationwide.Nearly three in four describe themselves as conservative, and 39 percent call themselves very conservative. Sixty percent say they always or usually vote Republican. Forty percent say the United States needs a third party, while 52 percent say it does not. They are more likely than American adults overall to attend religious services weekly (38 percent do so) and to call themselves evangelical (39 percent). Sixty-one percent are Protestant, and another 22 percent are Catholic.More than half -- 58 percent -- keep a gun in the household.
More Jobs Lost - another "Who Knew?" moment
Sorry if I sound blaise about this but it just makes me think the media are such fools. They follow the party line of the Democrats and then when it doesn't pan out they are SHOCKED! SHOCKED! SHOCKED!
Of course more people are being laid off, of course foreclosures are on the rise. We all wish it wasn't so but what is happening to change the facts? Nothing. Nada. When business keeps getting beat up by the current congress and president why should they plan on expansion, hiring more workers or anything else but pulling in like a turtle and hunkering down? When businesses are promised nothing but more regulation, more taxes why should they expland?
We need someone with business experience at the helm and in congress. This just isn't working out for us. How about you?

There are people who hate the USofA and want to destroy us.
Read this and believe it. They are out to conquer us. This is from the Brussels Journal and sent to me by Jim Little. It's titled:
This is only the second paragraph, read it all.........The incessant demonization of Israel in the mass media prevents us from realizing that what we are dealing with is a global campaign of bloody conquest. Those of us who read the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) or websites such as Jihad Watch know that Islamic leaders and preachers regularly and openly brag about how they are planning to conquer our lands, defile our women and wipe out our civilization. When people say that they want to kill you and wipe out your culture you should take them seriously. They mean exactly what they say; it’s not a code word for “I feel so humiliated by Western support for Israel.”.....
This could get Very Interesting
It is from MSNBC so be aware of the source, but it sounds like its true.
From NBC's Jim Miklaszewski and Mark MurrayU.S. military officials tell NBC News that the U.S. Army will court martial a lieutenant colonel who refuses to deploy to Afghanistan because he considers orders from President Obama to be "illegal."Army doctor Lt. Col. Terry Lakin believes Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief, because he believes (incorrectly) that Obama wasn't born in the United States.Lakin refused this week to report to Fort Campbell, KY for deployment to Afghanistan, but instead showed up at the Pentagon, where he was confronted by his brigade Commander Col. Gordon Roberts, a Vietnam Medal of Honor recipient.Lakin was informed by Roberts that he would face court martial, and his Pentagon building pass and government laptop computer were seized.
Tea Partiers are Us
I have read Bill Whittle for a few years now. When he joined Pajamas Media I was disappointed that most of his works were done with PJTV and my broadband speed is a little too slow for watching any whole programs. He still does some of his Eject!Eject! Eject! posts at that blog so occasionally I get to read some of his good work. I would suggest you read this one, it goes along pretty much with all our thinking, and then read some of his archived work. It.is.good. Here is the latest, sent to me by Rockport Conservative writer Dolley Doright.
At this point go to the Pajamas Media site and read it all. There is a concerted effort afoot on the part of big-state socialists to paint the Tea Party as a bunch of dangerous, hate-filled radicals with a bunch of crazy new ideas that go far beyond the pale of the traditional American political mainstream.Let’s ask some reasonable men – because the Founding Fathers were surely the largest collection of reasonable men ever gathered in one place at one time in history – what they thought about the issues raised by the Tea Party movement. For instance, what did they think of a powerful central government?

A Correction on those Iraeli Nuclear Scientists
From Roger L. Simon:
from lst Thursday.
Let this also serve as a correction to my post Foreign and nuclear policy misstepsThis morning (Pacific time) I was able to reach Dr. Alfassi in his office at Ben Gurion University in the Negev. Apparently, my report — and the newspaper’s — was inaccurate. The professor informed me that while it was extremely difficult for scientists who worked at Dimona to obtain U.S. visas, this was not a new policy of the Obama administration. This problem has been going on since 9/11.

Lead Paint!!!??? Were you aware of this?
From Neo-Neocon
It's funny how some of us thought the Congress wrote the laws. Read it all here.It may have slipped under your radar screen, as it almost did mine. But I was talking to a friend who owns a small home remodeling business and he reminded me that on April 22 (Earth Day!) new EPA regulations go into effect that could take down many a small contractor. It’s all about the rules on lead paint removal, which heretofore had been enforced only for work on homes that were old enough to have lead paint and in which small children or pregnant women (the populations at risk) resided. But that’s not good enough for our nanny state; oh no. Now the rules will apply to work done on any home built before 1978, eliminating the previous sensible escape hatch whereby a homeowner could opt out of the regulations if there were no at-risk individuals living in the house.

Obamacare backlash sends Democrats to the foxholesBy: Chris StirewaltThere was no health care bounce. In fact, there has been something of a health care swoon.
This one is good news for us, bad news for "them."
This is from the Boston Herald.
Dim bulbs at IRS let us eat cake....But now the Feds spend $92 million on the same IRS facility where they just eliminated 1,400 jobs. The Internal Revenue Service - all you need to know about Obamacare is that it will create not one single new physician or health-care provider, but it will require hiring new IRS legbreakers . . . er, make that “agents.”
– The new health care overhaul law, which promised increased access and efficiency in health care, will prevent doctor-owned hospitals from adding more rooms and more beds, says a group that advocates physician involvement in every aspect of health care delivery.
By Arnold Ahlert• I'm old enough to remember when hippies would stick flowers into gun barrels and tell us to "give peace a chance." Just for the record, those were American gun barrels. I suspect such an attempt to do so with any of our adversaries past or present would require the "clearing" of their gun barrels first — after which "rest in peace" might be a more appropriate slogan. That Barack Obama's nuclear policy is the equivalent of such naive nonsense ought to infuriate every thinking American.
This is not the most important thing you will read today but I wanted to give you an overall of what you can find on that site.
From Andrew Breitbart's Big Journalism
Barack Obama has found yet another way to express his special brand of anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel – while the mainstream media looks the other way. Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday dropped out of Obama’s 47-nation nuclear security summit, after discovering that Israel was going to be pressured there to sign on to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, which would drastically weaken Israel’s defenses.
And you won’t find it in the American press, but the Israeli publication NRG/Maariv reported Wednesday that employees of Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor are now being denied entry into the United States. Do they have criminal records? Terrorist connections? Do they beat, murder and rape their people marching for freedom, as does Iran, a terrorist state Obama is effectively helping go nuclear? No. These Jewish scientists and plant workers want to come to America to study nuclear engineering, chemistry and physics. But Obama won’t let them in, just because they work in a nuclear plant in the Jewish homeland.
Big Journalism is another of the sites I check everyday.
And last, from American Thinker:
DOE's Search and SeizureBy Louis CaseThe feds are coming to inspect your home if you want to sell it, according to regulations buried in cap-and-trade legislation and standards decreed by the Secretary of Energy. But there are numerous legal difficulties inherent in DOE "inspections." Here are a few:
First, the regulations purportedly require homeowners to submit to a warrantless search of their property. The result of this inspection ("looking in") of their home would be to condemn real property (fixtures and things attached to the land are real estate in many states) and/or personal property.

Dirty Bombs are a continuing threat
You won't hear much about it in our mainstream media but if you get news from the internet you might have run across this. Jim Little sent this link to me.
Go here to read it all. You might want to bookmark DEBKAfile and check it on a daily basis.Five people suffering serious burns were hospitalized in West New Delhi this week from contact with radioactive material in a Delhi scrap market identified as Cobalt-60 which may be used for making a dirty bomb. Indian police cordoned off the 200 market stores and sealed nearby establishments up to a one-kilometer radius. Scrap dealer Deepak Jain and his helpers lost consciousness when they cut a piece of scrap metal. A white fluid oozed out causing the burns, Jain's hair fell out and within minutes his skin turned black. His workers suffered and nausea. All five are battling for their lives in hospital, setting off a security scare in the Indian capital, with prime minister Manmohan Singh briefed on the incident before leaving for Washington to attend the nuclear security summit which opened Monday, April 12.Nuclear scientists from the Baba Atomic Research Center and Narora Atomic Power Plant identified the material and are working around the clock to investigate its source.
Have you heard about Polifact?
I got a link to this in the Howard Kurtz column in the Washington Post. When I saw they actually had Polifacts Texas of course I checked it out. I do not know how "factual" and accurate the fact checkers are, but I think it is something we should check out.
This is their statement:PolitiFact Texas is a partnership of the Austin American-Statesman and PolitiFact.com, a Pulitzer Prize-winning Web site of the St. Petersburg Times, to help you find the truth in politics.Every day, reporters and researchers from the American-Statesman examine statements by Texas elected officials and candidates and anyone else who speaks up on matters of public importance. We research their statements and then rate the accuracy on our Truth-O-Meter – True, Mostly True, Half True, Barely True and False. What’s a Muslim Gotta Do to Go to Jail in Obamaland?
Doug Giles
Saturday, April 10, 2010
Let me see if I have this right: Muslims can confess to shooting a man they thought was gay in the face with a BB gun and can plea out and get community service? Well isn’t that special?
And a Muslim can smoke a pipe in the bathroom of an airborne 757 and then, when caught, act like a cavalier jackass to the arresting air marshal and walk away because of some diplomatic immunity nonsense? Is that it? Yes? Oh, okay. Well, I have four words for that … la-di-flippin’-da. (Someone help me here: Does diplomatic immunity also extend to terrorism?)
So you heard about the dipstick diplomat from Qatar firing up on a plane, but you didn’t hear about the three Muslims shooting at gays in the Bay area, you say? Well, that’s really weird. I wonder why most of you missed that? Oh, I remember: It’s because the Deranged Stream Media buries and/or severely downplays stories about Islamic whack jobs as well as flag-burning liberal protesters and skewers only those on the right, right? Here’s the untold story.

It's a long blog post and needs to be read in its entirety so I won't copy any of it here.

This, the Tea Party, is stirring the Left to fits of neurosis rarely seen beyond clinical settings.
