Question of the dayA very good question, indeed. But I think we know the answer.

Why are so many people who are unwilling to do anything to stop Iran from getting and intentionally using nuclear weapons so freaked out at the possibility of a nuclear accident?

The Saudis allow Iraeli's air space if they need it
I hope this is true. It is from the TimesUK online via Instapundit:
Read the full story here.by Hugh TomlinsonSaudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defences to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities, The Times can reveal. In the week that the UN Security Council imposed a new round of sanctions on Tehran, defence sources in the Gulf say that Riyadh has agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance for a bombing run on Iran.To ensure the Israeli bombers pass unmolested, Riyadh has carried out tests to make certain its own jets are not scrambled and missile defence systems not activated. Once the Israelis are through, the kingdom’s air defences will return to full alert.

Dirty Bombs are a continuing threat
You won't hear much about it in our mainstream media but if you get news from the internet you might have run across this. Jim Little sent this link to me.
Go here to read it all. You might want to bookmark DEBKAfile and check it on a daily basis.Five people suffering serious burns were hospitalized in West New Delhi this week from contact with radioactive material in a Delhi scrap market identified as Cobalt-60 which may be used for making a dirty bomb. Indian police cordoned off the 200 market stores and sealed nearby establishments up to a one-kilometer radius. Scrap dealer Deepak Jain and his helpers lost consciousness when they cut a piece of scrap metal. A white fluid oozed out causing the burns, Jain's hair fell out and within minutes his skin turned black. His workers suffered and nausea. All five are battling for their lives in hospital, setting off a security scare in the Indian capital, with prime minister Manmohan Singh briefed on the incident before leaving for Washington to attend the nuclear security summit which opened Monday, April 12.Nuclear scientists from the Baba Atomic Research Center and Narora Atomic Power Plant identified the material and are working around the clock to investigate its source.

Neo-Neocon on Obama's Nuclear Edict
It’s almost as though our country is now being run by a leftist college sophomore, a guy who’s used to getting really good grades and thinks that means he’s smarter than anybody else because his gift of gab helps to wow people in those bull sessions at midnight in the dorm. He’s full of nifty ideas about how the world works, and wants to try them out—based on the “understanding” acquired during a few childhood years in a foreign country and a trip to Pakistan to visit friends. This is just the meat and potatoes of her blog entry, read it all.
