Democrats as Racist?

Far be it from me to call anyone a racist without proof of the fact.  According to Chris Salcedo at Pajamas Media he has the evidence. Read this and you will think he has some facts to support the claim.
By Their Own Standards, Dems Racist When It Comes to Hispanics
The Democrats' pattern of blocking Hispanics for not being "the right kind of Hispanic" is undeniable.

Conservatives warned liberals of the dangers of playing the race card too often without substantiation. But with the election of President Obama, progressives went crazy.

Every time conservatives opposed our inexperienced president on policy, progressive pundits were quick to dismiss the objections as a simple expression of conservatives’ supposed distaste for an African-American president. Recall how Karen Hunter, MSNBC contributor, described challenges to the Obama agenda? “Post-Traumatic First African-American President Syndrome.”

Even the Daily Show lampooned the excessive use of the race card, declaring it “maxed out.”

Well, if by liberalism’s standards the act of objecting to a person of color on policy is tantamount to racism, then Americans now have clear evidence that progressives are racist toward Hispanics.

Democrats, through Bill Clinton and reportedly the White House, conspired to defeat a conservative Latino in a Senate race in Florida. The liberals in charge of the Democrat Party tried to convince their candidate, Kendrick Meek (an African-American), to drop out of that race so that the linguini-spined Charlie Crist would have a shot at beating Marco Rubio.

The message, largely ignored by the press, was that Marco Rubio could not be allowed to win because he was the wrong kind of Hispanic.
[....]
Liberals knew he had to be stopped, and thus were willing to throw an African-American under the bus in favor of the white guy who had been a Republican five minutes ago.
Read the rest, he builds a good case of racism against the Democrats.

The Lead Dog and Racism are themes at the American Thinker Blog today

There are some great minds writing over there. Click these link and go read what they have to say.
When the lead dog falters
.......In speaking with some of the participants, it became apparent that the common element for success boils down to one thing: The lead dog. Sometimes called the Alpha, the lead dog is crucial as he follows the musher's commands and encourages the remainder of the team to mimic his stride and pace. The lead is always the strongest dog. The relationship between the musher and this dog is paramount to a successful team. Without it, there is confusion, competition within the team and eventual failure.

The glut of events over the past 18 months have brought me to the realization that our country, much like the sled dog team, is in serious jeopardy because of a self absorbed lead dog; our President. The "alpha" dog we have chosen is not the strongest in the pack...he is merely the one that had the saddest eyes and what we thought was a kind spirit. This dog is guiding his team (the Congress) as if the success of the same is unimportant. He has a finish line in mind, but it's not the same finish the musher is aiming for.
Racism is dead
Aaron Gee
In today's Wall Street Journal regular column, "Best of the web" author James Taranto gives us one humdinger of a quote;
"Racism is dead, and its killers were heroes. Nostalgia for racism lives on in the imagination of liberals who only wish they could be so heroic."
I could not have said it more succinctly. As democrats continue to try to play the race card, more and more American's are ignoring it. Victor Hanson observes in his article;
"....we have devolved to the point where promiscuously crying "Bigot!" and "Racist!" signals a failure to persuade 51 percent of the people of the merits of an argument."
I told you they are good, these are only snippets, click each title and read it all.

Obama and Racial Politics

From the Washington Times:
By Jeffrey T. Kuhner
President Obama is inciting racial division. He rightly fears that the Democrats will suffer huge losses in November's midterm congressional elections. Republicans are within reach of retaking control of the House of Representatives. Even the Senate may be in play. His party's grip on power is threatened - and with it, Mr. Obama's radical socialist agenda.
Fear breeds desperation. Hence, Mr. Obama is resorting to the worst kind of demagoguery: playing the race card. In a video to Democrats, the president embraced identity politics; black, Hispanic and female voters are to be courted at the expense of white middle-class America.
"It will be up to each of you to make sure that the young people, African-Americans, Latinos and women, who powered our victory in 2008, stand together once again," he said.
