Madison, Wisconsin or as the friend we visited explained, Madison is like your Austin.
We haven't seen many colorful trees yet, but will see them within the week. We are finally having wonderful fall weather, after a full week of rain.
We plan to be in Madison for another night or two, then explore Northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. We are in a wonderful county park, formerly a farm. Queen Anne's lace is still blooming here and we have seen some areas covered with little purple asters, very pretty when surrounded by goldenrod.
This is my first chance to check up on the news and blogs online since a week ago and I know I have missed a lot.
Keep up the good work, consersvatism lives!
